About JeanetteBorn and raised in Victoria, I am a certified ACE Personal Trainer, Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist (TBMM), Nutrition Coach, TRX Suspension and Rip Trainer Instructor, Schwinn Indoor Cycling Instructor and Jazzercise Group Fitness Instructor with 28+ years experience. I have also obtained certification in the Applied Functional Science, Functional Movement Screen, Functional Capacity Screen, Y Balance Test and SWIS Muscle Test, which enables me to assessment a client's body, establish benchmarks to be measured against in future and develop a plan to address dysfunction and a-symmetries (see Corrective Exercise tab). Over 30 years ago, as a young out-of-shape individual, I learned early on the importance of maintaining a physically active and healthy lifestyle. My personal experience improving my overall health led me to develop a passion for the health and fitness industry. Becoming a Personal Trainer was the perfect fit! It has enabled me to share my knowledge and experiences and help others through their own unique journey! I have worked with all ages at various fitness levels to achieve their goals.
Over the years, I've learned that exercise enables us the time to meditate and focus on the things we want to integrate in our lives. Through the development of a positive mental focus you can attract and manifest amazing experiences, people and opportunities into your life. I own and manage Fit in Motion and have the pleasure serving you and changing lives! Jeanette's PhilosophyI believe in focusing on ones capabilities versus inabilities and establishing a safe, life-long health and fitness regime based on realistic goals. Health and fitness is not about just going to the gym and running on a treadmill. It is a lifestyle change and my job as a Personal Trainer is to help guide you through that change. Our bodies are designed to experience a wide array of movement and so we must take advantage of this blessing by using it to it’s fullest. My training approach is to first ensure you know how to successfully and safely perform basic movements and then build upon that framework. Fun, motivation and the celebration of successes will be a part of your session. Your reward will be the feeling of better health (physically, emotionally and socially), improved strength and the celebration of your accomplishments as you reach your personal goals. Let’s get started on your journey to better health!
