INITIAL CONSULTATION AND FITNESS ASSESSMENT 
​Your journey begins here with this 1.5 hour appointment.  For One-on-One Personal Training clients, the initial meeting is focused on discussing medical and physical activity history, current lifestyle demands and ultimate fitness goals.  A fitness assessment is then completed to collect necessary information to design a safe and effective training program.  ​
​
​Some of the assessments to expect are:
  • Postural
  • Functional Movement & Capacity
  • Muscle Testing
  • Joint Range of Motion
  • Balance
  • Body Composition
  • Blood Pressure, etc.
  • Weighing and Measuring

These assessments will uncover a-symmetries, muscle imbalances, movement concerns and other issues that may need to be addressed.
​The results of the assessment establish a benchmark, which can be measured against in future.  We will review the information collected and develop a program tailored to your specific needs and suitable for your schedule and realistic timeframe to reach goals.
 
    Note:  If there are any major health concerns, you may also be asked for written clearance from your physician.

ONE-ON-ONE PERSONAL TRAINING 
​Many enjoy the undivided attention of a Personal Trainer.  The Trainer is the cheering squad behind the client's success.  They are the motivational speaker, goal coach, teacher and friend all rolled into one.  With One-on-One training, the focus is the client without the distraction of another individual sharing that time.

  • We start by conducting Fitness Assessments to identify benchmarks, uncover a-symmetries, muscle imbalances, structural deviations, postural and functional movement problems, determine body composition, assess flexibility, strength and cardiovascular fitness level
  • Realistic and attainable goals and then identified
  • Once we have gathered all necessary information, we design a program that incorporates progressions and strategies to address disfunction work towards achieving short and long term goals
  • Our job is to provide guidance to clients to overcome physical and emotional barriers and help with ongoing motivation to reach goals
  • We coach better habits and behaviours that support a healthier lifestyle​

ABOUT ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING
Fit in Motion uses Zoom Video Conferencing to facilitate virtual sessions.

SEMI-PRIVATE PERSONAL TRAINING (2 participants) 
​
Team up with a like-minded friend or partner and share the cost of private Personal Training sessions.  Sessions are just like One-on-One sessions, but there are two of you.  All participants will receive the attention needed to ensure proper form and technique, with a friendly dose of competition and accountability!  We have the technology and skill to train the participants either online and/or in-Studio.   So if one individual wishes to train online and the partner wishes to train in the Studio, we can accommodate.

​CORRECTIVE EXERCISE 
A Corrective Exercise Program is implemented upon the cient undergoing a Consultation and Fitness Assessment.  The program assists a client more effectively in reducing or eliminating discomfort related to a-symmetries, muscle imbalances, past and present injuries and post surgery movement issues.  The Corrective Exercise Specialist  may work in conjunction with other professionals, such as the client's physiotherapist, doctor, etc. to ensure effective program design, implementation and progression.

The Studio

The Fitness Studio is 540sq ft with rubber flooring, mirrors and large windows over looking gardens.  The equipment available for use during training sessions are TRX Suspension Trainers, Rip Trainers, Exercise Tubes, Kettlebells, Dumbbells, Exercise Balls, BOSU's, Core Boards, Medicine Balls, Mats, Bands, Foam Rollers, Wobble Boards, Yoga Mats, Yoga Bolsters, Yoga Blocks, Yoga Straps, Yoga Blankets, etc.
